Karen Hopp

Karen Hopp has more than 12 years of media and PR experience. Prior to founding Bazini Hopp, she served as vice president in Cohn & Wolfe's New York Corporate/Technology practice where she was responsible for Dell's consumer products and worked on media outreach for Nike, Darden Restaurants, CapGemini and Panasonic. Karen was previously an account manager with boutique agency Connors Communications where she led the launch teams for technology companies including VideoEgg, RedRoller.com, Vonage and Goodmail Systems. While with Euro RSCG Magnet she worked with IBM, JVC and MessageLabs (which was acquired by Symantec for $695MM in 2008). With IBM Pervasive Computing, Karen created a campaign for the company's "smart home" and "smart car" initiatives that garnered national consumer broadcast and print coverage.

Karen began her technology work with Blanc & Otus San Francisco where she managed the agency's Executive Roundtable program and her account responsibilities included HP, Sony Computer Entertainment America, Identix, Fujitsu Software, Phoenix Technologies, Autodesk, Hotwire.com, InterTrust, iAmaze, eConnections and Resonate. Prior to joining Blanc & Otus, Karen worked for ABC in New York, first with ABC Sports' public relations department and then with ABC News as a production assistant. While in college, she worked for the assignment desks at Connecticut's local CBS and FOX affiliates. Karen graduated from the University of Connecticut as a double major in Journalism and Communications and is a devoted fan of UConn Huskies basketball. She is the proud mom of one son.
